Abstract: Dealing with the patent state of the art is the first step in offering our ideas to society, and protecting and enhancing them. Why is it necessary to do a patent search? How and in what way is it possible to make a quality one? This and much more will be addressed at the seminar entitled "Patent search: strategic tools and examples" organized by JoTTO.

The area of ​​the third mission will be presented, some hints on what a patent is and specific cases of patent search. The ORBIT company was invited to outline the theory and presents the QUESTEL search engine with some specific patent search cases.
